Adirondack Central School District Universal Prekindergarten Program

Highlights of ACSD's Universal Pre-k Program:

The Adirondack Central School District's Universal Pre-kindergarten program addresses instructional components, cognitive skills, social and emotional development and the physical skills of youngsters. Children must be four years old on or before December 1 and reside in the Adirondack Central School District to be eligible. For an application please click on the appropriate link below.

Enrollment:

Universal Pre-kindergarten is open to all children residing in the school district who are four years old on or before December 1 of the current school year. Income eligibility is not a factor and all families are encouraged to apply. Up to 18 children are allowed in each session.

Staff:

The staff at Adirondack Central School District consists of a teacher and an aide in each prekindergarten classroom.

Universal Pre-K Activities include:

Reading Readiness, Math Readiness, Science lessons, Literature, Social Skills, Self-Help Skills, Large Motor Activities, Field Trips, Music, Library, Parent/Child Activities.

Transportation:

Transportation will be provided for children who are four years of age.
Times: The half-day Pre-kindergarten program times for each building are as followed:

West Leyden Elementary: 9:00-11:30 am
Boonville Elementary: will have two sessions which run from 8:00-10:30 AM and from 11:50-2:20 PM daily.
